Heroes in the Wild

One of the greatest things about heroes in the wild is the ability to meet different people and new cultures from our surrounding communities.  I look forward to showcasing our unsung heroes in their natural habitat and explore their unique resiliency stories through photography.

Idle Hands Tinkers Program

Tinkering involves multiple tasks that require repetitive movements, focused attention, and critical-thinking. To Heroes it can serve as a powerful coping mechanism used to reduce anxiety and enhance resiliency. When individuals immerse themselves in the 'flow state' of focused tinkering that's found in the repairing, building, or breaking of things; their minds become fully absorbed in the task at hand. This immersion creates a experience that frees them from their everyday stresses and anxieties.
